We want you to know that you support a family when purchasing from Becker Ranch! We believe in doing it right or not at all. We do not breed to financially survive, we both have fantastic careers. This is our passion and our entire reason for being. We are big supporters of fund raisers and efforts surrounding Autism as one of our very own was diagnosed at 2! We also have a boy that was born with Gastroschisis that we  support all efforts surrounding! 

In total we have 6 fantastic intelligent children. Our children are beyond respectful to all animals, pouring their hearts into your puppies before they come to you and it shows! You not only support a family but you support a breeder in it for all the right reasons.... to better the breed! 

All sires & dams undergo extensive health testing available to date. In addition to mental soundness testing. When matching a pair, much planning and thought goes into it. We do not just pair them because they’re two pure bred German Shepherds. They must pass health testing first and foremost, we only breed OFA Excellent/Good/Fair rated hips nothing else. In addition to PennHip testing. We look at body structure, drive, health testing results, and temperament that will compliment each other. To improve in any deficient areas the other match may have, creating a well rounded, sounds great minded, healthy German Shepherd.

OFA essentially rates based on the depth of the hip socket and how the femoral head is seated. PennHip looks at the distraction or how far the capital ligament will stretch. This is very important as a  dog with  OFA Good hips with a lot of distraction from the capital ligament will get a lot of knocking around causing hip dysplasia.

So we feel hip evaluation in a two part process is critical. All of our German Shepherds have both completed prior to moving forward.

Our founding stud here is OFA Good and PennHip rated him in the top 5% for the breed. That’s something to be proud of! Sometimes we will utilize an outside stud, but he must meet health testing, titling, and mental soundness requirements.
